CHELSEA, MI — The Chelsea High School girls swim and dive team delivered a standout performance on home turf Saturday, winning the Chelsea Invitational title with a commanding team total of 617 points. The 'A' relay unit of Sophia Burgess, Ruby Jackson, Brooke Paddock, and Kajsa Kajander touched the wall in 1:58.14 to beat out Adrian's 'A' squad (1:58.31). Distance & Stroke Dominance: - Brooke Paddock earned a individual victory in the 200-yard IM, taking top honors with a time of 2:17.55. - Madeline Roebuck spearheaded a strong Chelsea distance push, winning the 200-yard freestyle in 2:09.55. - Ruby Jackson delivered a Division 3 state-qualifying performance in the 500-yard freestyle, claiming 1st place in - 5:43.28.
