From August 31 through September 5, the Bulldogs will hit the pitch, court, gridiron, pool, and trails in a stacked stretch of early-season competition. Early-Week Rivalries: Kickoff on the Pitch and Field The action gets underway on Monday, August 31, with a split slate of home and away matchups. On the road, both JV and Varsity Boys Soccer head to Jackson. The JV squad takes the pitch at 4:00 PM, followed immediately by the Varsity squad at 5:30 PM (Bus departure: 2:30 PM, Dismissal: 2:20 PM). Meanwhile, Chelsea plays host to rival Saline for a prime-time Field Hockey doubleheader. JV field hockey leads off at 5:30 PM, with Varsity capping off the evening at 7:00 PM under the home lights. On Tuesday, September 1, netters and swimmers step into the spotlight. JV Boys Tennis travels to Marshall for a 4:00 PM match (Bus: 2:40 PM, Dismissal: 2:30 PM). Over in the pool, Varsity Girls Swimming heads to Dexter for a three-way meet at 6:00 PM (Bus: 4:30 PM). Wednesday Marathon: Eight Teams in Action Wednesday, September 2, marks the busiest day on the calendar, with eight different Bulldog squads competing across the region: Cross Country: Varsity Cross Country opens its afternoon at the Early Bird Preview at Huron Meadows Metropark starting at 4:00 PM (Bus: 2:45 PM, Dismissal: 2:35 PM). Football: Chelsea’s 9th Grade Football team visits Jackson for a 4:30 PM kickoff (Bus: 2:45 PM, Dismissal: 2:15 PM), while JV Football follows up in Jackson at 6:30 PM (Bus: 4:15 PM). Volleyball: A full volleyball program road trip to Pioneer sees 9th Grade Volleyball and JV Volleyball set up at 5:30 PM, followed by Varsity Volleyball at 7:00 PM (Bus: 4:30 PM).
