It was a banner day for Chelsea Athletics as the Bulldogs put on a clinic across multiple sports, securing victories in nearly every contest on the April 28th schedule. Diamond Highlights The Varsity Baseball team led the charge with an offensive explosion against Jackson. The Bulldogs swept the doubleheader in convincing fashion, outscoring their opponents 34-1 over two games, including a massive 21-0 shutout in Game 2. On the Softball diamond, Chelsea split a competitive doubleheader against Marshall. After taking Game 1 with a solid 12-2 victory, the Bulldogs fell just short in a high-scoring 19-13 slugfest in the nightcap. Links and Courts The Boys Golf team stayed sharp in their double-dual meet. Chelsea posted identical team scores of 147 to defeat both Bedford (153) and Ypsilanti (243), showcasing impressive consistency on the greens. Meanwhile, Girls Tennis continued their dominant run, completely shutting out Pinckney with a flawless 8-0 victory. Track and Pool The track was fast for the Bulldogs as both the Boys and Girls Track teams outpaced Ypsilanti. The Boys secured an 83-54 win, while the Girls earned a commanding 93-42 victory. The most thrilling finish of the night happened in the water. The Girls Water Polo team battled Birmingham Groves in a defensive standstill that required extra time. Chelsea eventually found the back of the net to secure a gritty 6-5 overtime win. Overall Record for the Day: 8 Wins, 1 Loss
