It was an action-packed day for Chelsea athletics as the Bulldogs faced off in several high-stakes SEC matchups. From the links to the pool, Chelsea’s athletes showcased their depth and determination, bringing home significant victories and record-breaking performances. Track & Field: Ichesco Races into the Record Books The Chelsea track and field program dominated their SEC White dual against Jackson, with both the boys' and girls' squads securing comfortable victories. The boys' team outpaced Jackson 90–47, fueled by a historic performance from Gibby Ichesco. Ichesco scorched the track in the 100m, clocking in at 10.95 seconds. This feat marks a rare sub-11-second finish and officially places him 6th all-time in the storied history of Chelsea track. On the girls' side, the Bulldogs cruised to a 90–34 win. Teagan Hill led the charge for the girls, sprinting to a first-place finish in the 100m with a swift time of 12.67 seconds. Water Polo: Defense Smothers Saline Girls' varsity water polo earned a gritty conference win on the road, defeating Saline 6–3. The victory was a statement of defensive prowess, anchored by goalkeeper Ruby Jackson, who turned away 17 shots to keep Saline at bay.
