Bulldogs on the Move: A Busy Weekend Ahead for Chelsea Athletics

It is shaping up to be a packed weekend for Chelsea High School athletes as teams hit the road across Michigan. From the track to the pool and the diamond, here is what you can expect for our Bulldogs on April 10th and 11th. Friday, April 10: Afternoon Action The weekend kicks off early this Friday with three varsity programs in action. Track & Field: Both the Varsity Boys and Girls Track teams are heading north to Fowlerville for the Early Season Opener Meet. Competition begins at 12:30 PM, where our runners, jumpers, and throwers will look to set early personal bests. Softball: The Varsity Softball squad travels to Jackson to face off against Lumen Christi. It’s a single-game matchup with the first pitch scheduled for 4:30 PM. Water Polo: The Varsity Girls Water Polo team starts their weekend grind at the Mason Tournament. Their first sprint for the ball begins at 5:40 PM. Saturday, April 11: A Full Slate Saturday sees Chelsea athletes scattered across the region, with most events getting an early start. On the Courts Tennis takes center stage Saturday morning as both levels of the program head west. Varsity Girls Tennis: Competing at the Sturgis Invite starting at 9:00 AM. Modified Girls Tennis: Competing at the Marshall Invite, also kicking off at 9:00 AM. On the Diamond It's a heavy day for Chelsea’s bats as both baseball and softball remain on the road. **CANCELLED** Varsity Softball: After their Friday game, the team travels to the Lake Orion Invite for a full day of tournament play starting at 9:00 AM. Varsity Baseball: The boys head to Trenton for a competitive Doubleheader (DH). Game one is slated for 11:00 AM. In the Pool Varsity Girls Water Polo: The Bulldogs return to the water to wrap up day two of the Mason Tournament. Their first match of the day begins at 10:45 AM.
