The Chelsea boys varsity lacrosse team couldn't have asked for a better start to their campaign, cruising to a commanding 15-2 victory over Jackson on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs’ offense was firing on all cylinders from the jump, overwhelming the Vikings' defense to secure a 1-0 start to the season. Offensive Fireworks The scoring load was spearheaded by the dynamic duo of Jackson Wray and Cody Cox, who both put on a clinic in finishing. Each player recorded five goals, accounting for ten of the Bulldogs' fifteen points. While Wray and Cox led the charge, the Chelsea attack showed impressive depth with contributions from across the roster: Jordan Rudolph: 2 goals Jacob Brant: 1 goal Drew Fillyaw: 1 goal John Davidson: 1 goal Defensive Lockdown While the offense grabbed the headlines, the defensive unit was equally impressive. Liam Favre anchored a backline that frustrated Jackson all night, limiting their quality chances and allowing only two goals over four quarters of play. Favre’s disciplined defensive play ensured the Bulldogs remained in control of the tempo throughout the contest. Season Outlook With the win, Chelsea moves to 1-0 and establishes themselves as a potent threat in the region. They will look to carry this momentum through the weekend as they prepare for their next challenge. Up Next: The Bulldogs hit the road again next Monday to take on Lincoln. Game time and further details will be announced later this week.
